TalkTools’ motivational Horn Hierarchy teaches essential oral-motor skills needed in OPT (Oral Placement Therapy). Developed by Sara Rosenfeld-Johnson, this therapy addresses deficits in abdominal grading, is a prerequisite for improving velopharyngeal functioning and targets specific speech sounds. In combination with the Straw Hierarchy, it is an invaluable technique for eliminating tongue thrusting. It can also be used to reduce or even eliminate drooling.
Caution: Adult Supervision Required to use this therapy horn and the Horn Kit Program. Intended for use as part of the TalkTools Horn Kit and associated hierarchy Horn Kit Program.
This is a great tool for learners with a variety of needs!

Great tools
Love this tool kit. It’s a tactile visual hierarchy that parents and kids can easily connect with . As you move up the hierarchy improvements are easily seen and progress is noted. It’s a fun way for the kids to get their tongue retracting and side spreading while learning how to better access diaphragmatic breathing. I’ve used this kit for over 20 years - I do miss the balloon as the final horn- but I’ve found it very helpful with a multitude of diagnoses and even my adult clients have had fun using the kit.

The grading is helpful to suit different levels. Great tool to work on oro-facial musculature and skills :)
